Here's everything we have in our diaper bag that are essentials for when you're on the go with your little one!
For Baby-
Pacis- we have used these pacis since the day he was born and love them! They are the most natural pacis on the market (mimicking the breast) and also match the nipple heads on the Avent bottles we use too.
Paci clips- these are some of the only paci clips we have been able to use that attach to the soothie pacis we live. Obviously there are tons of other paci clip options as well as pacifiers in general but these are just the ones we have been using since the beginning and really like.
Pacifier holder- our Beis backpack diaper bag came with one of these but here is another option from Amazon for a paci holder to add to your diaper bag.
Pacifier wipes- just in case your only paci (or all of the ones you have on you when out & about) fall on the ground and need to be cleaned quickly while on the go.
Wipes- we like keeping these Wet Wipes in our diaper bag because they are the perfect size/amount for on the go. Super compact to fit in your diaper bag + 99.9% water which is great for those little ones with sensitive skin!
Diaper rash cream- perfect portable tube of diaper rash cream that is effective, easy to dispense, and super convenient to travel with.
Diaper cream spatula- makes applying that diaper cream SO much easier and we love keeping the mini spatula in our diaper bag at all times.
Diapers- since he was born we have been using Pampers Swaddlers and really love them! But you can use any brand of diapers just make sure your diaper bag is stocked with at least 5 of your baby's current size!
Travel changing pad- again our Beis backpack diaper bag came with a travel changing pad but here is an option from Target for an on the go changing pad to add to your diaper bag.
Onesie (in the baby's current size)- you never want to be caught out and about without an extra outfit for your little one!
Beanie, socks, mittens- depending on the time of year!
Wet bag- another item that our Beis backpack diaper bag came with but is an essential to have incase your little one needs an outfit change & they soaked their original one.
Burp cloths- always good to have plenty of extras with you even if you don't plan on feeding on the go.
Blanket/swaddle- any will do just good to have in case it's chilly wherever you are going (inside or outside).
Teething toy- our Beis backpack diaper bag also came with this but any teething toy will do! Of course as your baby gets older it is also great to pack a few toys in your diaper bag for them as well. Right now, we tend to bring a rattle, crinkle paper, and small book with us too just in case!
Wearable wrap/carrier (that can also act as a nursing cover if needed)- these are another great option to have in your diaper bag in case your little one is getting fussy and needs to be help but you need to be hands free!
For Mom-
Chapstick
Snacks
Wallet
Any postpartum essentials (pads, diapers, wipes, etc.)
Hand sanitizer
Wipes
Sunglasses
Phone charger
