Celebrating his first Father's Day

Ever since we found out that I was pregnant, I knew Alec would be the best dad, role model, and leader for our little one. And getting to celebrate him on his first Father's Day was nothing short of special.

We started the morning off with Weston and I sneaking away to Alec's favorite donut shop to grab him his favorite breakfast treat. Once we made it back home, we all crawled back into our king size bed for our usual family cuddles. Like I mentioned in our Mother's Day blog, this is something we use to do every day when both Alec and I were on parental leave and is a core memory we will cherish forever.

After hanging out for a bit, we all ventured into the kitchen to enjoy Alec's breakfast donuts + watch him open his gifts. Weston and I picked out a new hat for him + a "Saturdays are for the Dad's" tee from Barstool Sports. Once we finished our tasty breakfast at home, we loaded up the car and made our way to Top Golf for a quick morning round.

It actually worked out perfectly because Weston fell asleep on the drive over so, Alec and I were able to hit a couple of balls while he slept in his stroller. Of course I dominated Alec in the first round so he had to make up for it in the second. Around that time Weston woke up which was great timing because we hit our hour mark at Top Golf. Once we hit our last few balls, we snapped a couple of pictures before heading to lunch!

Ever since living in California, we have loved Mendocino Farms. I can thank my RiOrganize girlies for this because when we would organize celebraties homes in LA we would always order in their sandwiches as a treat. Alec and I both get the "Not So Fried" chicken sandwich which is to die for! Of course while we ate, Weston was awake so we took turns tossing him back and forth while enjoying our tasty sandwiches.

After lunch, we headed back home to relax, watch some Liverpool soccer, and have a little dance party. Weston currently loves being spun around, thrown in the air, and dancing to just about any song with mom or dad holding him. In the late afternoon, we drove over to Armor Brewing for a little Father's Day cheers and beers to keep the celrbations going. Once we finished up at the brewery, we headed back home to feed Wes his dinner, give him a bath, and put him to bed.

Overall it was the most special first Father's Day for our favorite guy doing all the things he loves most with his favorite people in the world!

XO,

The Stegalls

Here's our little Father's Day vlog recap of the most special day. I hope Wes grows up to be just like his dada!
