A Bridgerton Inspired Baby Shower

Updated: Sep 21, 2023

For my first baby shower celebrating our sweet little bundle of joy, my family threw a beautiful Bridgerton inspired shower at a local tea room. From the location to the ambiance + all of the decor, it really felt like we were transported into the infamous Bridgerton shower on Netflix.

Think poofy, pastel dresses, lots of lace + pearls with tons of flowers, finger foods, teas/lemonades, and delicate desserts.

We had a wonderful afternoon enjoying each other's company, sipping on tea, and spoiling Baby Stegall! Everyone is so excited for his arrival this fall and we couldn't feel more grateful + loved. Thanks to all of the amazing women who were able to attend, we appreciate your support more than you will ever know!

Here are all of the details for any of my local peeps looking to re-create this Bridgerton shower!

Location:

This place is honestly the perfect spot for any kind of gathering but especially a baby or bridal shower. There are two different locations, one in Plano, Texas and one in Richardson, Texas. Both offer great ambiance, aesthetic, and vibes. In both locations, they have party rooms that you can rent out along with the main dining area. Their menu consists of all of the perfect afternoon tea treats- salads, soups, and sandwiches with an assortment of sweet treats too. At both locations they also offer High Tea in the afternoons with an assortment of 10 different blends.

At the Plano location you can choose from the Garden Room, the Tea Room, or Ellie's Room. The main difference of the Plano and Richardson locations, is that the Plano tea room also doubles as an antique shop.

At the Richardson location you can choose from the Main Room, the Tea Room, or Chantilly Room. For my baby shower, we were in the Chantilly room which was beyond perfect. It's a small room located to the right of their Main Room where the bakery counter is.

The Sweets & Treats

Everything you need to eat + drink while throwing the most beautifully, elegant tea party! Think pastel macaroons, tiny sandwiches,

Meal:

Included in the room reservation package is a drink + dessert of choice along with a pre-selected meal.

To drink, everyone got the choice of either water or Mango Ice Tea. For my shower, I got to pick 3 items for all of the ladies to enjoy. Wanting to try a little bit of everything, we ended up having the turkey sandwich, pesto pasta salad, and the fruit cup.

From lace gloves, to pastels, and pearls galore! You can't go wrong with an over the top look for this themed party.

Attire:

In regards to the theme, the suggested attire was pastel, floral, flowy dresses with lots of lace and pearls. I ended up wearing this daisy bleu mini dress with puff sleeves. It was the perfect dress for my baby shower celebrating our sweet boy. To accessorize, I wore a pearl headband along with gold hoop earrings that had a pearl drop and a gold charm bracelet. Additionally, I wore some cute, antique looking lace gloves with my grandmother's pearl bag with gold a gold chain that she gifted me. As for my heels, I just wore some white pumps to match the white daisy print throughout the dress and tie all of the pearl accents together. My full look linked here!

Everything from the floral backdrop to the most colorful, pastel tables-capes.

Decor:

Since the location of the shower already had tons of tea room + antique decor touches, we really didn't have to add too much. Throughout the Chantilly room there were silhouette images, antique pictures, frames, and knick-knacks, floral arrangements, lace doilies, beautiful chandelier lighting, and tons of gold accents.

So all we added to the sitting tables were a gold charger to the center of each table with a picture of Alec and I framed along with a vase of flowers and some baby trinkets. To the present table, we draped an "it's a boy" banner just to add a pop of blue to the room. Additionally, on the entrance table we placed the party favors in a cute wicker basket along with the baby book and keepsake box, welcome sign, and fresh flowers.

All of these little touches helped the space feel warm and inviting while keeping that aesthetic and antique theme at the core of the room!

Party Favors:

As a sweet thank you for coming to the shower, we gave out mint chocolate goodie bags that had blue ribbon + cute baby tags on them that said "mint to be a mommy!"

Games + Activities:

At baby showers, there are always so many fun games + sweet and sentimental activities to play! During mine, we had everyone write a "Newborn Wish" note filled with words of wisdom, wishes, or dreams for our sweet baby boy. Once everyone finished writing their note, they placed it in the beautiful silk box as a keepsake for me + a great "guest book" as a reminder of who was able to celebrate with us!
